2010 Breezer Uptown EX

The Breezer is my primary commuter. I won it in a contest from the good people at PeopleForBikes. Originally spec’d with a basic 1×7 drivetrain which is likely more than adequate for a large number of commuters. I desired something a little more in my bicycle though, so the original drivetrain didn’t last long.

This bicycle has seen many different parts, including a full drum brake setup with an 8 speed Sturmey Archer IGH. I was not a fan of the 8 speed IGH from Sturmey Archer. It is back to a derailleur setup.

  • Frame: Breezer Uptown EX, Aluminum alloy frame, 4130 chromoly fork
  • Brakes: Tektro Linear Pull
  • Handlebars: Nitto B302 All Rounder
  • Shifter: Sunrace M96 8speed thumb shifter
  • Cranks: Truvativ Isoflow 1.0 w/ 36T chainring
  • Derailleurs: Shimano Altus A10 rear derailleur
  • Rear Cassette: Sunrace M66, 11-32 8speed Cassette
  • Front Wheel: 26″ SUN CR-18, SRAM i-Light Dynamo
  • Rear Wheel: 26″ SUN CR-18, Shimano Deore Hub
  • Saddle: Brooks B67
  • Chainguard: Velo Orange Alloy Chainguard
  • Front Light: Busch & Muller Lumotec IQ Cyo R N Plus
  • Rear Light: Busch & Muller DToplight XS Plus
  • Lock: Abus ring lock with chain
  • Grips: Velo Orange Black Cork Grips
  • Fenders/Mudflaps: Stock fenders with Velo Orange black leather mud flaps
